Something About Me
While not originally from Arkansas, I have come to love this state and the Little Rock area.  I instantly felt welcome the moment I moved here in early 2005.  I'm no stranger to this area having explored the great outdoors throughout the state as a kid.

I'm originally from Lawrence, Kansas where I got my start in radio working for the college station KJHK at the University of Kansas. After graduating I worked for a local station that was a crazy-ass alternative station called The Lazer (now a really stinky Top 40).  This was in the the mid to late 90s when the Alternative boom was full on and Nirvana ruled the airwaves for the first time.  Rolling Stone praised KLZR as one of the Top 10 stations in America that did not suck in 1999.  Six months later the owners switched it to top 40 crap and I left.

I went to work for the rival rock station 20 miles west called V-100.  We had good times but working in Topeka sucked mainly because this town lies in the shadow of the hip and cultured Lawrence and the booming cosmopolitan Kansas City just sixty miles away.  When the opportunity rose, i jumped on the chance to come work at a cool station like the Edge.

Fareed Zakaria is an amazing writer from Newsweek that has just written a scathing article about why Palin should not be the VP.  He is suggesting that she should drop out of the race for the benefit of the country.  Check out this clip of him speaking to Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

Rise Against Rocks
Monday 09-22-2008 9:29am CT
Rise Against freakin' rocks!  To prove it, watch their new video!

The video is a bit slow moving for the song but you will see their anti-corporate/anarachy stance at the end of the clip. Is it Fight Club 2008 or is it a comment on some of the revolutionary anarchy groups that are out to destroy corporate society?
